2021 what a year that was (or wasn’t). A strange year filled with uncertainty and doubts that things would ever get back to some kind of “normal”. I suppose I could sum this year up in the following:
- Conventions attended: 0
- Photoshoot Events: 17
- Cosplay Shoots: 3 (2 with my daughter)
Something of a shift there from years past but things change and you need to adapt and react to events as they unfold. I deliberately chose to stay away from conventions this year because I wanted to see how they would run and how safety precautions would be handled. From what I’ve seen most events looked like a “glass half empty” both in content and space, whereas safety appeared to go out of the window.
So what’s the plan for 2022? Well I’m booking up more photoshoot events which have been a lifesaver in what otherwise would have been another year of nothing to photograph. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot diverse subjects in fantastic locations and I’m really happy with the end results which is at the end of the day what really counts. I’d like to do a few more cosplay shoots if I can generate any interest with people and lastly maybe attend a con or two, who knows? I’m not going to speculate too much as these days I just prefer to go with the flow.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I really want going forwards and summed things up into these statements:
- I want my head to be in a better place than where its been. (You can probably guess what this is about)
- Continue doing what I enjoy.
- Live life without regrets.
