When the FUN stops STOP
There is a saying that you shouldn’t do something you love as a job as you will eventually come to hate it. Now while I don’t do event photography for a living, going to events and taking pictures it’s something that I enjoy… at least it was until recently. I’m sure most of you reading this can relate to what I am on about. We’ve all had bad experiences that can completely put us off doing something we enjoy.
Achievement Unlocked!
One of my goals for 2018 was to attend more conventions than last year when I first ventured into Anime & Cosplay themed conventions. Starting quite late in the year (April I believe) I attended 4 conventions and 2 fan meetups.
Godox G1 Updater Issue
Yesterday I tried updating the firmware on my Godox X1T-O and TT685O flashguns. While the X1T-O went well after realising that the controller needs to be powered off with no batteries. The same couldn’t be said for the TT685’s.

What Camera Should I Buy?
This is a question that crops up all the time and it can really infuriate experienced photographers (e.g. Karl Taylor).
The answer I prefer to give is “one that takes pictures”*
Yes my answer does have a dose of sarcasm but with good reason. Camera manufacturers slick advertising campaigns have brainwashed the public into thinking that buying a better camera will make them take better pictures. But here’s the truth… THEY WON’T.
